The snowboard experts at Burton set up their pioneering Learn to Ride programme for one simple reason: to make sure that your first day on a snowboard is as good as your 100th.

We agree that that's the way snowboarding should be, and that's why Oxygène teamed up with Burton to create the first two Learn to Ride centres in France.

The Learn to Ride programme combines cutting edge snowboards, boots and bindings, provided by Burton, with the carefully selected beginner slopes and expert tuition, provided by Oxygène, to ensure that your first experience of snowboarding is memorable for all of the right reasons!

Find the right group

Use the descriptions below to help you choose the class that's right for you - or, if you're not sure, give us a call or drop us an email and we'll be happy to help! Once you've chosen your level, see the links at the bottom of the page for timetables and price lists for each resort.

Learn to Ride
This class is for complete beginners, and you'll start with the real basics. You'll go on to learn to control your balance on gentle slopes, and to learn to use a drag lift. You're aiming to master short turns and side slipping by the end of the week.

Intermediate 'Progression'
If you have less than a week's snowboarding experience, you're Intermediate. You'll grow in confidence and ability, until you master short, linked turns on blue and red runs. You'll have your first access to the snowpark in the intermediate class.

Freeride & Freestyle
For confident on-piste snowboarders. Choose this class if you're ready to work on your off-piste and freeride boarding, and to spend more time in the snowpark.

Extreme
If you love a good thrill, go for Extreme for a week of couloirs and vast off-piste boarding. If you choose Extreme, you should already be comfortable on all pistes at the start of the week.
