Top tips and practical information for parents

Get the kids off to the right start on the slopes

All children must wear a helmet!

Clothing and protection
Always ensure that your children are wearing warm, dry and comfortable clothes…
they should also wear the following:

·         Thermals

·         Sunglasses

·         Sun protection cream

·         Gloves

·         Woolly hat (even in good weather)

·         Cotton underwear

·         We also recommend kids back protection - safety first!

Ski boots
Ensure that your children feel comfortable in their ski boots. Also ensure that their boots are well adjusted and properly closed.

Drink
Children dehydrate very quickly in altitude, so encourage them to drink lots of water rather than fizzy drinks.

Keeping warm
Remember that your children are better off feeling too warm than too cold in altitude where, generally, one’s body heat drops rapidly - especially for children.

Ski school checklist
Before handing your children over to the ski school, please make sure that they have been to the toilet, that they have their lift-passes, a cereal bar in their pocket, some money and a sheet of paper stating the following:

·         Parents’ full names

·         Address in the resort

·         Telephone number

·         Mention of any products they might be allergic to
